Eat in a tree

Another dream destination to add on our list which combines two of our shared passions: food and design. The Yellow Treehouse Restaurant—an architect-designed eatery near Auckland, New Zealand, perched over 30 feet above the ground in a redwood tree.

Designed by Pacific Environments Architects, the restaurant stands nearly 30 feet wide and 40 feet high, and supports a full bar and up to 18 guests.

I want to go to China to see this

We know that Easter is over, but we had problems with the Mac, and therefore this little Chicken goodie is a bit late, but it is still very cool. Anyone fancy fresh eggs from their garden?

A new landmark in Oslo

The opera house in Oslo is like an iceberg that has docked in the fjord. It is a living architectural monument that can be walked through and on top of. It is a masterpiece by the Norwegian studio Snøhetta.

I just love these fantastic pictures that actually give you a feeling of how incredible the building is and how dynamic its appearances are. The building is an ever changing experience as it changes with the light quality of the season and the time of day.

Small in Japan

I came across the cutest smallest house in the middle of Tokyo by Yasuhiro Yamashita, called Reflection of Mineral.. With 45 m2 it makes a perfect compact city dwelling, with its faceted facade it looks different from every angle you view it, and challenges the way we think of modern living . The little house even has an outside area to house a small cute car. It is not only Sushi and Sake that are hot these days, Japanese Architecture has been for a while and is still among the most creative and boundary breaking in the World. I hope that we can embrace the new Japanese way of city living also in Europe, I would not mind living in a house like that in Oslo. By the way, Tokyo is on my must go list.
